The Running Man is filled with many things that are unexpected. It was only at about a quarter way through the book that I really found out what the Running Man really was. It is a sick TV show where someone has to run around the whole country trying to get killed by hunters. If they succeed they get a lot of money. I like the plot of this story because it can go in so many different directions. I have no clue what is going to happen next. I learn a little bit more about this character with every action he takes. In his situation it’s easy to tell what he has been through. For example he obtained fake ID papers quite easily. I think it’s because he has been around that kind of stuff before. I know he has a hard life so I think it would be easier for him to blend into a crowd and live off the streets. I can’t wait to read more!

I have been reading “The Running Man” and I am surprised in how much I like the book. It’s the kind of book that’s keeps its pace but gives you all the details you need. I have not yet gotten bored while reading it. So far I am starting to believe all the things about Stephen King are true. His writing style is very real. Although this is in a made up place with made up people it all seems so believable.
The descriptions of people and they way they act are quite believable. He doesn’t try to soften characters up or make the story softer. His books are directed to an older audience. He uses words that you wouldn’t find in a Harry Potter book. I really like the way Stephen King writes it is raw and entertaining. I am enjoying this book and will defiantly be finishing it.

I’ve been searching for a new book for awhile now. I didn’t know what I wanted because the previous book was a genre that was hard to find so I decided to go for something else. Books about crazy experiments don’t come by as often as a story. Some of the people in my class have been reading Stephen King books. I talked to them and they said that he was really good writer and were enjoying his books. I also know of many of his books that have been made into movies. Stephen king is a very famous writer so I thought I would choose one of his books.
Stephen King has many books so I didn’t know which one to read. I didn’t know what I was looking for when I saw all of his books so I decided to ask some of peers what they thought of his books. They gave me some suggestions and a quick overview of the books they had read and I was quite interested in one in particular called “The Stand”. When I went to the library to take it out it was gone so I had to find another choice. I was looking at some of the books in the library and all the books there but none of peers had read any of them so I had to go to a second source. I chose one off the shelf to find a review. I chose “The Running Man” and found this review http://www.allreaders.com/Topics/Info_6388.asp . I knew this was the book I wanted the plot intrigued me and I wanted to read this story. It seemed like the kind of book that I wouldn’t be bored with. The setting is something I really like. I am excited to read this book

I finished reading Elephants on Acid and I am quite happy on how it went. I read the whole book without becoming bored once. I was always interested to read more. The book is written the way I like it. Everything is very easy to read. I have gained a lot of knowlegde from this book. Some of it is useful and some isnt. If I every become a waiter I know how to maximize my tips. This could help me but I don’t plan on become a waiter. There also crazy things like if cockroaches would live anuclear apocolypse. The answer is no they wouldn’t. Instead there is a certain type of wasp that has a much higher chance to survive a nuclear apocolypse. Well after this book I think was a good read. I hope the next book I get inst boring.

Still reading Elephants on Acid and I am about three quarters done. These experiments are pretty wacky. I’ve noticed that almost all of the experiments have to do with psychology and how the human brain works. I think people like to read how they work and about some of the crazy things the human mind does. Most of the experiments turn out to be fails but they are still very interesting. They are still crazy even if they don’t turn out. I like how it doesn’t take very long to read each of the experiments. It keeps me from getting bored and I am always ready to read the next one. This is defiantly the kind of book I like to read because if I quit I don’t have to remember what happened in the last chapter. This is a lot easier to read because I can read some of it and then leave it and not have to remember what all exactly happened before. I am excited to finish the book!

Halfway through this book and I don’t have many questions to be answered. The book is all about science and science is pretty much just question that is trying to be answered. Many of these questions have nothing to do with our life. They are just random things that are interesting but otherwise don’t really help us. I do wondering how they thought of some of these experiments such as Elephants being on LSD. I don’t think this would really help us in any way. It is just a wacky experiment that was conducted to see if could see if they could make an elephant aggressive. This doesn’t change our lives in anyway and doesn’t get us any farther in any fields of science.

I’ve started to read Elephants on Acid and Other Bizarre Experiments. This is a very fascinating book because of all the crazy things that happen. I really think I’m going to like this book because it all real facts. This book is filled with crazy experiments each crazier than the next and the best part is figuring out if it worked. Some of these experiments teach me things I never would have known and are answering question about things that are bizarre but still interesting. Some things like could a head live without a body? The answer is yes it potentially could but there is no actual way to do it yet. I have only read the first couple experiments and I am very excited to learn more. I wonder what other crazy experiments I will read about next.

Inkheart is deffinatly coming to a climax. The story becomes more and more intense as I read. Even strainger things keep happening. I figured out that Capricorn is actually some evil boss from the book though I do not know his occupation yet. I think he may be some sort of evil king because he has a lot of men that follow him. He also seems to be a very harsh man. He never shows emotion he also values human life very lightly. He will kill or “dispose” of anyone he finds not worthy. Mo has a very strange ability, he can read things out of a book. The only catch is that if he reads something out of the book something from our world has to go in.
Dustfinger is now currently helping the tri escape from capricorns village. He seems to be very selffish and only does things for himself. He Capricorn capture Mo and Maggie just to get the book. Now that the book is destroyed he is helping them escape. He says that the only way out of the village is by vehicle because of all of the deadly snakes that surround it. Dustfinger dosent know how to drive so he gets someone else to do it for him. But I do think he also cares for Maggie. When Mo was taken away and Maggie was very sad Dustfinger felt sorry for her. He also put on a fireshow to try to cheer her up when she was bored at Elinors house. This book is become more exciting by the chapter and I cannot wait to see what happens next!

I’ve been reading Inkheart and the story is finally unfolding. I’ve learnt a lot in the past few chapters. It seems that Dustfinger and Capricorn have come from a book. Capricorn really wants this book and I think he may want to go back. I don’t know how he got out of the book but it must have something to do with this special ability Mo has. Mo, Maggie and Elinor are all in captivity from Capricorn. I think Capricorn may want to use Mo to get him back into the book. I can’t wait to read more!

When the evil do-ers came and took Maggies father away Dustfinger mysteriously disapperared. I think Dustfinger Is working with capricorn. After this whole mishap Dustfinger snuck into Maggies room and tried to steal the book but could’t because of something he feels for maggie. This furthers my suspicion that Dustfinger is working with Capricorn. He also seems to know a lot about Capricorn but dosent like to talk about it. I think Dustfinger is just in it for himself but is torn between help both capricorn and Maggie. He dosent want to hurt anyone but he wants to get whwat he wants. They are now traveling to capricorns village. Knowing that Capricorn owns his own village also makes me think that he may be some type of Mob boss. The book talks about roads going through mountain with castles. I can see this book set in the swiss alps in northern Italy. They are coming up on Capricorns castle and I can’t wait to really find out who this Capricorn is!

I’ve read the 4th and some of the 5th chapter. Maggie has finally seen this book. It is very well kept and has a picture that looks exactly like Dustfingers pet. Dust finger has a very unusual pet with horns and the same pet was in the book. This is very weird and I think Dustfinger and this book are very closely related. Also Dustfinger keeps staying at the aunt’s house even though he says he will leave the next day. I’m pretty sure Dustfinger wants this book. He also got the alarm system for the house turned off and now we hear strange men’s voices in the house. I can’t wait to read more!

Well hello there time for another post. I’ve read the first three chapters of Inkheart and the story is slowly unfolding. When reading the book you get the main characters point of view. The main character is a girl named Maggie and she doesn’t seem to know much. As the main character learns more information you learn more information. Both reader and Maggie are searching for more answers so the pace of the book never slows down. This book is great at describing things. Right now I can see them in a big dark mansion surround by a giant overgrown garden. I can see the moss growing on old statues and the Swiss Alps in the background. The main characters father is always hiding something from her mainly a book. I think something bad will happen soon. One character named Dust Finger is always on edge and wants to make things happen fast. I have a feeling we will see the antagonist soon. He goes by the name Capricorn. All we know of him is his name and how evil he is. The story is in Italy so I predict he may be something like a mob boss with his goons doing everything he says. I am very anxious to read more and there will be another blog post shortly!

After a long search and perusing through many books I finally found one to read. I got a recommendation from a friend to read Inkheart by Cornelia Funke. It has been made into a movie so I thought it must be good. I didn’t really know what the book was about but the cover suggested fantasy. The shiny gold coins, shells and gems with a key said to me treasure. There is also a fairy and lizard around what looks like a window into another world. I think this may be a window into a book. I am very excited to read this book and will read it shortly.
